Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

dentist charged credit card without my authorization

I recently have been going to the periodontist and to pay for the first appointment they suggested that I apply for a care credit card because it was interest free so I authorized and the dentist completed the first half of the work for $3000.00. I had an appointment one month later which I cancelled and he charged my care credit card $1750.00 I was not even in the vicinity of the dentist office I am currently disputing this with the credit card company, the dentist did not notify me of this illegal charge but he continuously calls me wishing to continue the work on my teeth any suggestions!

Re: dentist charged credit card without my authorization

Has the dentist admitted to any adminstrative problems with the last charge to your credit card bill? Is this care credit card only to be used for health care purposes, or can you make general purchases with it? I've got more questions to ask you about this issue. Feel free to call to discuss in further detail.
