Re: Would he be deported?

These charges are quite serious and it would be extremely important to retain an attorney to defend you in court and preserve your rights. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.

Re: Would he be deported?

He should retain an attorney to handle this case given the severity of the charges. The possible penalty will depend on what prior felony convictions if any he has. Depending on how the case is resolved he may very well have significant immigration concerns even with a green card. Please feel free to contact my office if we may be of any assistance in this matter.

Re: Would he be deported?

Overall ANY drug charge is sufficient for deportation... however, when you reach a felony level... as all drug based charges are usually based on weight of drugs alleged in possession, there is a great tendency for such charges to be more than enough to create a great possibility for deportation.

The most important thing for you to do is IMMEDIATELY hire an attorney whi handles both types of cases and understands the effects that one case could have on the other... Our office regulalry handles criminal cases with immigration ramifications...

Please feel free to contact us for further discussion on this case at 212.709.8303 It may be possible to protect him against deportation by working for a plea that would not put him as such a great risk for immigration
