Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Depression-- petit larceny twice in 4 days

I got caught shoplifting twice in 2 days recently. I have been extremely depressed and am on heavy medication such as prozac and lithium, and I believe this has played a major role in this incident.

would it be possible to get my case dismissed? would it be better to consolidate 2 petit larceny charges into 1 case in my case? or not? i do not have any criminal record but did have a violation conviction before. please advice!
