deprivation of character
my boss kept saying i stole from them with no proof after checking a video camera. now they are telling all the other employees that i have been stealing from them all along. can this legally be done/

From what I've seen, you should be worried that your boss will contact the police and have you charged with larceny.
You could sue your boss for defamation, but you will have a tough time finding a lawyer for that. I'd charge you $10K up front for a defamation suit, and you'd probably never get your money back.
