Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
A detective is asking me to come in and talk to him. he thinks i did something that i know he cannot prove, what do i do?

You need to contact an attorney and have the attorney call the detective to let him know that you are represented. The detective needs to get you to talk to make a case against you. He may even lie and say you made an oral confession, which could stand up in court if your meeting with him is not witnessed. An attorney will solve all of these problems.
