Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I am a doctor who gave four prescription of Percocet to two person over two years ,trying to help them refill them because they were unable to see there doctor. they were not my patient and i do not have records of them in my office.

I did not sell these prescription just gave them the prescription.Seems thy were selling them on the black market. The federal goverments wants me to plea guilty to drug trafficing. What is the laws on doctors giving Percocet? Is it a federal crime not having document of in my office? Thanks

I am surprised that you do not know the answer to this question. You certainly should not be prescribing controlled substances to anyone without having seen them and if they are not your patients. Yes if these drugs are finding their way onto the black market and you are implicated it would be a federal crime (as well as a violation of state laws too). It would depend upon who would seek to prosecute you. There would be a number of valid State and Federal ways to prosecute you.

If you believe that you are on the verge of being prosecuted, you should contact an attorney ASAP.
