driving on suspended license

If I did not show up in court in 1987 for a driving on suspended license what si the statute of limitations for the state dropping these charges

They have already brought the charges so the statute of limitations has been "tolled" or stopped. There is probably an arrest warrant out for you based on your non-appearance in court.

There is no true "statute of limitations" that applies to this situation; HOWEVER, if you are arrested on an outstanding warrant (for failing to appear in court back in 1987) you should have your attorney move to dismiss the charges BECAUSE the DA has failed to use DUE DILIGENCE in prosecuting you.
