what will the penalty be for getting cought with half a grame of rock cocaine.

Generally it would be a misdemeanor charge, depending on whether there is any claim of sale... Overall, the potential penalties could be ranging from a violation to jail time... wholly dependant on priors and your attorney.

If the charge is only possession without an attempt to sell or an actual sale, then the charge is a misdemeanor with a maximum of 1 year jail.
