Re: Drug related issue

If you hired a private lawyer it is a disgrace that you would need to be on line asking for help. I would demand some answers from him and tell him you will call the bar association if he doesn't shape up. Trust me, that will get him moving!

Re: Drug related issue

Ms. Masters is perhaps a little alarmist. Having taken a plea, he now awaits sentencing.

The delay may be caused by a desire to have him testify against the other person in the drug case. They want his testimony before the sentencing becuase, if he refuses to testify, they can revoke the agreement befoire sentencing but not afterwards. The time spent in delay will be applied to his sentence as 'time served'.

A letter to the private lawyer asking for a sentencing date is probably all that is necessary. You can also write to the DA for the same information. The private lawyer is done. he has no more benefit to confer through his efforts. The plea has been accepted.

Good luck.
