Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Dwi

These is my first time ever being in trouble with the law. I had a car accident due to DWI and I was told to plea guilty to 30 days in jail and 3 years probation. I'm gainfully employee and if I go to jail I will loose my job. So my question is why do I have to go to jail and still be on probation. I don't even have a speeding ticket on my record.

Re: Dwi

A competent DWI attorney could not advise you with the sketchy set of facts you provided. Where did this occur?Did the accident involve injuries? What did you "blow"?All these are relevent.Contact my office with specifics and perhaps we can successfully defend or negotiate a better disposition.Don't take the plea without further consultations with competent DWI attorneys.E-mail answers to [email protected]

Re: Dwi

Each case is different. You are probably getting a higher offer, because you were involved in an accident. It may be possible for a competent attorney to negotiate a non-jail disposition on your behalf, however they would need to do a full investigation first. Please feel free to contact my office if we may provide any assistance to you in this matter.
