Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
early release
My fiance has been sentenced to 2and a half years for criminal possession of controlled substances. What are the chances of early release and how early would it be and what would dertermine all these aspects?

It depends on his prior record, his drug issue, the parole board and a myriad of other issues.
Was a defense presentence report submitted? What did it say, did the judge accept parts of it?
