Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

educational law

my son broke into our highschool over the summer. he is being prosecuted by the law. does the school have the right to suspend him if the crime was committed over the summer.

Yes but there are rules they must follow. To be sure that they are following those rules, you should contact the State Education Dept. in Albany or a better idea would be to consult a lawyer who handles School disipline issues.
