Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Email Threats
A guy I know has sent me some threatening emails. Included in it, he said that a court wou;dn't look favorably at him b/c I have a criminal record. I do have some priors (harassment), but does this mean he's allowed to threaten me & I can't do anything about it? I'm afraid to go to the autjorities with the email for fear that I will get in trouble b/c I had a little bit of a troubled pass. His email has some very blatant threats to me. Thanks.

Re: Email Threats
The fact that you have a prior criminal record does not give him the right to threaten you.
