Regarding Embezzlement in NYC: (1) Would this crime be considered a felony or misdemeaner? (2) What is the statute of limitation for embezzlement in NYC?

If the value of what was taken was over $1,000 then it wouod be chargeable as a felony.
The statute of limitations on a felony in the state of NY is 5 years, 3 on the misdemeanor. If you've been charged and have missed out on ac ourt date, however the statute of limitations is inconsequential as it is halted.
Also, if you have been charged and the case is currently ongoing in court then the statute of limitations is not your major concern but 30.30 and speedy trial provisions.
