Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

embezzlement/verbal agreement

one of my former employee & business manager who was administrator on my business bank account has written checks to her personal credit card from my business account, some of these expenses could be genuine business but there is more than $10000/ that is her personal expenses. i also found cash discrepencies in thosands of dollars.

she had deposited money in my business account in the begining, that was all paid back by me.

Investgator alloted from the DA office closed the case stating that it is not criminal as she purports to be part-owner-- as there was verbal agreement.-wink & nod

months before i formed the PLLC, she was made aware she cannot be a partner legally/ilegally, she said she would love to be my employee with title executive manager & was hired to be so from the outset. It seems this investigator who belongs to a local police department is racialy motivated &

influenced by his colleagues who she knows well she has filed a complaint for wrongful termination, where she affirms under oath to be an employee. she has also filed for unemployment.

I feel harassed by all this. What options do i explore?she continues to slander & is roaming free having embezzled $$$. This investigator did not even procure receipts

Re: embezzlement/verbal agreement

You have to take an aggressive stance to have any chance for seeing your money. I conduct a multifaceted approach in situations such as yours. Everything depends on how much you want to invest in your case. It can be done, but you cannot depend on the DA's office to do it for you. You can reach me at [email protected] to discuss it further, as the foregoing is not legal advise and no attorney/client relationship is extant.

Re: embezzlement/verbal agreement

You should speak with an attorney about bringing a civil suit against this former employee to recover the money that was taken. The attorney may be able to speak to the DA's office on your behalf.
