If an emergency order of protection is filed does that mean I have the right to attend the next court date and have the order removed and must it be removed on my request?

You certainly have a right to attend the next court date and contest the order to avoid it becoming more permanent. You should bring an attorney with you and give any evidence you have for removing the order. No the court will not just remove because you asked, you need to contest the facts presented.
