Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
An employer wants to know if i've ever been convicted of a felony. 30+ years ago, in PA, I pleaded "no contest" to possession of a controlled substance, paid a $500 fine for the Disposition, and received 1year probation as a sentence. I was 21years old. Is that plea the same as a conviction?

A plea of guilty is a conviction, however it does not look like it was a felony.
