Looking to expunge misdeamor records in Nassau County NY

I was arrested twice, once in 1990 for a petit larceny charge, and in 1991 for an unclassified misdeameanor in Long beach.

I've been out of trouble since (total 15 and 14 years) and would like to clear up my life over this as it gives me tremendous stress when I hear the words ''background check''

I've been to college, owned homes, married, have children, and it freaks me out whenever I go to a new place and hear those words.

I'm a computer IT consultant by trade so I don't often hear these words because most of my work at a company is by contractor status.

Any anyone willing to discuss? Both cases were in Nassau County NY.

It is possible to expunge records, it is also possible to get "release fromcivil disabilities" by petition of the court. It is not really necessary in your case ,since you have many accomplishments and it really doesn"t seem to affect your daily life.
