Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
No possible expungement?
I was convicted of a Felony in the State of NY in 1992, the charge was possession of stolen property. from what I understand it was the lowest class felony one could get. I was sentenced to probation for 5 years and released after 3. I have since moved to FL and was working a good job up till July. I have been finding it hard to find another job. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to bury this charge for the sake of finding a job? I like to think I have changed quite a bit since 1992 and integrity is a big issue with me as well as honesty. I know I did wrong but I paid my debt. please help!!
