Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Expungement/Seal of Record
I plead guilty to NYS PL 260.10 endangering the welfare of a child and served three probation (7/98-7/01) without incident. I have not been in any trouble before or since. This is my only conviction. Can I get my record expunged or sealed?

Re: Expungement/Seal of Record
Yes, you can.
A petition must be made to the same court where you pled guilty and you must show that the 'community' will not have its interest impaired by granting your request.
If the conviction is creating a specific problem for you, a 'certificate of relief from disability' is also an available tool.
