Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
extradition
my question is how long does wa state have to extradite some one from nys if they didnt sign the extradition papers?? what if they do sign extradition papers?? how can i find out if wa really wants him. hes wanted in wa with leaving state while on probation but he was on probation for a failure to register in which he grabbed a girls but when he was 13 which happened in 95 what should i tell him to do they wont let him see a public defender

Get him a lawyer. That lawyer will work out the extradition issues. There is not much a non lawyer can do to help. As for not letting him see a lawyer, contact the NYS Defender's Association in Albany and ask for the executive director. He will know exactly what to do. YOu may drop my name and tell them I said to call.
