Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

failure to report to probation officer

I have recently received a letter for the court stating that I have to appear for my arraignment on a certain date. I am under the assumption that it is for failure to report to my probation officer. I was charged with possesion of stolen property to the 3rd degree and received YO and was given probation for a period of 3 years but have not reported . I am 17 and i do not have any way of getting there. What are the possible outcomes of me going to my arraingment?

Also i have recently received my high school diploma would this help getting a second chance?

please advise.

thank you

Re: failure to report to probation officer

Did you have an attorney for the CPSP plea and sentence? Contact him/her immediately. A bench warrant may be issued and if you appear for your arraingment on the VOP (violation of probation) because of a bench warrant, instead of voluntarily appearing you could face jail time.
