Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I was falsely accused of damage to property and domestic violence. The Distric attorneys office asked if I was willing to speak with them. I did so and they seemed to believe me, however the order of protection was still granted. The record is now sealed however do I now have a criminal record and if so how do I go about getting it removed.

Did you plead guilty to the crime? Were you charged by the district attorney? If the record is said to be sealed then it should not show up on a criminal record search. However, there are not really enough facts here to give you a definitive answer.
