Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I need to know if the feds or new york state has a law

Is there a real law about being guilty by association I live in Brooklyn, New York, and just don't know where to look for the answer?

No, there is no such "law" on any books. That expression is like a proverb. All it means is that people's tendency is to believe someone guilty for associating with a guilty person; that is, you are believed guilty by association only.

Guilty by association is not a law. However, if people you associate with are doing illegal things, you can be implictated in those activities because of your association with them.

Need more information:

Who are you associating with?

What did they do that you feel that associating with them is a problem?

Have you been implicated in the scheme that they are accused of?

What is your background and do you have a record?

If you contact me, I can give you a detailed answer to your question.
