I need to know if the feds or new york state has a law
Is there a real law about being guilty by association I live in Brooklyn, New York, and just don't know where to look for the answer?

No, there is no such "law" on any books. That expression is like a proverb. All it means is that people's tendency is to believe someone guilty for associating with a guilty person; that is, you are believed guilty by association only.

Guilty by association is not a law. However, if people you associate with are doing illegal things, you can be implictated in those activities because of your association with them.

What did they do that you feel that associating with them is a problem?
Have you been implicated in the scheme that they are accused of?
