Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
''felony hearing''
My brother asked for a felony hearing in his present case. He has been up for this felony hearing three times all ready, because the people have not been ready to proceed every time and all three times the felony hearings have been adjourned. i would like to know by law in new york state how many times can a felony hearing be scheduled and adjourned before it is finally dismissed in court?

Re: ''felony hearing''
A Felony Hearing can be adjourned for up to six (6) months. There is no limit to the NUMBER of adjournments; only to the period of TIME the People remain UNready to proceed.
