Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Felony removal
How can a felony be removed from ones record? I have heard of felonies being removed from persons not under the youthful offenders status. My conviction happened 6 years ago, I find it hard to obtain gainful employment, I can't own the type of business I want because my felony keeps me from being insured or bonded. Is there anything that can be done?

Re: Felony removal
The conviction cannot be totally removed from your record. However, you can seek a Certificate of Relief From Civil Disabilities which can make it easier for you to obtain certain licenses. If you wish to discuss the matter, please feel free to call me at 212-622-7180.
