Felony
Can i sue if someone accused me of forging a check that was deposited into my account but signed by the person?

Re: Felony
Yes. If the person told this false information to the police and you were arrested, you may be able to sue for false arrest and malicious prosecution. If the statement was made to someone else, such as the bank, you may be able to sue for defemation. All of the above carry a one year statute of limitations. The real issues are: 1) what are your damages (which could be great if you were arrested)? and 2) can you collect money from the other person?
I handle these type of cases so please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss.
