You have only one option, find a private attorney to retain. Did you have to post bail on your case? a lot of times you can use an assignment of ths bail to pay for atleast a part of your case, also find someone willing to work with you to some degree...
If you do not qualify for legal sid the judge will permit you some lrniency in time to find a private attorney but this will expire rather quickly and just because you keep showing up without an attorney doesnt mean the court will change its mind and appoint a public defender for you... you will only end up damaging yourself and future.

Please excuse the directness of this response: if you needed an operation, you would find some way to pay for it. If you are in trouble where your liberty is at stake, I would recommend taking the same stance. This is not to say that you should stretch yourself beyond your means. However, your liberty is as important as your health. Please feel free to call 917.922.7192

If the court determined that you do not qualify for a public defender then you must retain private counsel. There are some who will work with you on a payment plan.Your freedom and liberty are at stake, be intelligent, get the best possible criminal defense attorney or you will be in jail and deprived of more than money , your freedom.I will be happy to offer a free phone consultation.
