Re: fines and possible jail time
Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a fine of up to $1000.00. Other possible sentences include probation of up to 3 years.
Many factors will dictate what sentence you may receive. Your age, past criminal record, location of the Court are all important to know.
If you are currently in Drug Court now, this will obviously affect your progress there. Some Courts are more lenient than others regarding relapses.
Good Luck to you.
