Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
fraudulent use of address
We have been receiving mail addressed to an unknown person at our
home address. The mail we have received consists mostly of bills and
offiial communications (ie-auto credit/insurance companies, doctor bills,
etc). We have returned all mail unopened to the post office marked
''Return-Not at this address''.
What should we do about this? Should we be concerned that this is an
attempt at fraud or could this be an honest mistake with an address
change?

Re: fraudulent use of address
If you suspect foul play, contact the Postal Police. The number should be in the phone book or get it at you local post office.
