Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

for a friend only advice or just a simply ?

hi i have a friend that is mentally ill and he is facing several crimes one felony and five or so of misdermeanors he has to go and talk to two phycirastrist what happens if he isnt mentally capable to stand trial no one will let him no either way thank you
