Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Friend owes me money
I was working for a friends as her personally assistant. We had a following out and she refuses to pay my back wages and charges made on my credit card on her behalf. We did not sign a contract. However, i do have emailos from her admiting to owe me these things and going to pay me. However, there is no dollar amount specfied. but verbally we agreed to 300 dollars. What shoud I do?

This is what Small Claims court is for. Go to small claims court and pay the $10 or $15 filing fee and fill out a short complaint form. If your former friend doesn't pay you back, you can make your case to the judge/arbitrator.
