Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My ex girlfriend has been cheating the system for years by working off the books and collecting food stamps, medicaide, and even phony childcare money. she gets four hundred a month child support from her baby's daddy unreported. I reported her for fraud to the new york dept. of social services but i forgot to mention the child support, as well as the irs and the state finance and taxation dept and the labor board. how long do these investigations generally take and what are the repercussions?

Well, these types of investigations can take months and sometimes years. It sound like you reported to all the correct authorities and now it is up to them to take action.
