Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My girlfriend wants get rid of someone who asked her a favor to live in her basement, the person dont want to leave the basement and threatens her that he will call the national housing authority office because she lets him rent the basement. Basically my girlfriend wants him out because its against the law for someone to let somebody rent a basement. What is the right thing to do?

You need to file for eviction in the landlord tenant court.
