grand jury

on a arson in the 3rd what does the da need to indite a person ??

the only statements i know about are from people who say they where going to burn a empty building down witch was condeamed.my sister need to know shes still in jail bail to high they say she plained it and was going to pay them , it was her place that got burned down no ins on it eitherr

An indictment, and a finding of guilty are very diffrent. In order to indict a defendant, all that is needed is basically a story that is believeable... if it seems like it may be true - then the da's office will usually have an indictment.

A statement is sufficient evidence to indict someone.

if they are alleging tht she paid for the fire then she is being treated as an accomplice, as an accomplice she may be guilty just as those that actually did the fire... maybe more so
