If this is your first offense ,then the risk of going to jail is minimal. I ,would need much more information to offer more advise. Please contact my office and leave a phone # and I will offer a free phone consultation. You may e-mail me with your phone # and I will contact you.
Re: what is going to happen
You are probably not going to jail. I say probably because I can't tell from you post if you have a record. However, you should hire a good criminal defense lawyer to guide you through this and negotiate a fair resolution with the DA's Office. My firm handles these typw of cases and I am a former ADA. Feel free to contact me if you wish.
