Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Harassment by ex-Husband

I am being harrassed on the phone by my ex of years. He swears and calls me names to me an on the ans. m/c. He will not drop the children at home...leaves them up the street if my boy friend's car is in the yard. (the issue the ex has). There was a restraining order that expired last June and it has gotten continually worse. The judge said that since he hasn't verbally threatened me yet (nor done anything...yet...)there is nothing they ill do. I spoke to his mother becuase he is upsetting (and grilling) the children. He started swearing at her also. Any suggestions for help? My life is a mess, affecting work, having to screen all calls and not let the children listen to the ans. m/c before I listen to all messages.

Re: Harassment by ex-Husband

if he not adhering to the the visitation order, ie. drop off at house, then he can be held in contempt. it is not safe for the children. i would save the messages for the judge. i would file a police report every single time he acts badly. get an unlisted number and use a cell to talk to him?dont let him get away with this, its bad for you and worse for your kids. good luck
