Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
harrrassment law changes?
since when has the law cahanged in ny so you cant counter charge some one who has charged you with harrassment?

The law has not changed. An individual under New York State Law brings a complaint and it is up to the District Attorney's office to bring charges. If the DA's office does not feel that the complaint is credible or if they think that they can not sustain the charge, then it is in the DA's prerogative to not press charges against the person.
