Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Helping my son, who is being charged with rape

My 19-yr-old son has been charged with raping a ,now, 15-yr-old girl 2 yrs ago. She is accusing him of giving her Jack Daniels in his bedroom at our house and forcing her to perform oral sex and raping her on several occasions.

Problem is..during the time in question, not only did we not live where we are now, but he has never had his own room there. During the time that we have lived there, he has lived with my sister and his g/f (not the girl in question) Only recently has he stayed in our quest room and is now with my sister again as a condition of his arraignment on this charge. Also in her statement she has made mention of several ppl that she is friends with that ''have an axe to grind'' with my son.

As I said, he has had legal issues in the past and is currently on probation for an unrelated offense.

But, he now has a full time job and is getting ready to move into his own apt. and has been trying to change his life around.

Considering the fact that she has waited 2 yrs to report this and there are so many ''holes'' in her statement, how do we make sure that he is not ''railroaded'' in this case?? I ask this because during his last case, we feel he was railroaded and no one would listen to us.
