Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Hey, my friend just got arrested tonight for allegedly breaking a beer bottle over a bouncers face at a bar and knocking out his teeth. There were witnesses around that said he didn't do, including his girlfriend who saw the whole thing. But he was still man handled by the other bouncers and by Suffolk police and taken away.
With so much evidence against the bouncers claim that it was my friend how could they do this?

What you are describing is the very, very beginning of a criminal case. The police were called undoubtedly to restore order and arrested your friend. They can arrest someone they believe is assaulting someone. Your friend needs a criminal defense attorney right away to discuss the situation with him and deal with bail if any. They can help your friend with his facts and talk to his witnesses. He was arrested, but not even charged yet, I'm assuming.
