Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Hey my name is susan I was arrested for shoplifting for the thing cost $30 ,it was in 2012, after 6 months I had a certificate of desiposition , I want to know if my record is or my fingerprints is still active

Susan: I really do not have enough information to accurately answer your question. It mostly depends upon what the plea or disposition of the case was as well as your age. I'm sure the case is no longer active unless you took a conditional plea & failed to fulfill the conditions. Your fingerprints may still however be in the database.
