Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

My husband was arrested for so called robbing someone and cutting him. The truth is the 2 guys tried to rob my husband and in turn my husband had his work razor with him and cut one of the robbers giving him 36 stitches to the face. The guy later pressed charges( the NERVE). My husband was arrested and arraigned and endicted on a D felony when he went to court apparently his paper work was lost 1 week later it so called reappeared with 2 B felonies is this legal what can we do??

First, yes it is legal to add charges after the arraignment. This can happen up to the date that the case is certified for trial. Second, your husband should have filed a complaint immediately. The other person probably filed a complaint when he was forced to at the hospital. Your husband needs an experienced criminal attorney as soon as possible.
