Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
If I had my husband arrested and was told he was going to be charged with one thing by the police and then was charged with something else what can i do

The best thing you can do is make sure that your husband is represented by a criminal defense attorney, whether private or appointed by the court if he is indigent. The charges can change as more evidence is found or more facts come to light. Get him an attorney right away.
