Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My Husband completed probation over five years ago. However he is being investigated for a crime allegedly comitted during that time of probation/drug court of over 5 years ago. The statute of limitation for the alleged crime is expired I believe, but could his still be charged with violation of drug court/probation from that period now? This is NY state.

Although, you have only given limited facts, if the probation period has expired and there is no conditional period imposed, he should not be able to be charged for a VOP once probation term has expired.
