Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My husband was sentenced to 15 months in prison in oct,2009 for a parole violation because he failed a urine screen for alcohol. With all the inmates being released early because of the budget and new laws taking effect, why isnt he being released released early since its such a small thing hes in there for.

I don.t know that sentences are being cut short in New York yet, but it is up to the parole board to decide. He should see if he can apply for a parole hearing before his statutory release date.
