Intentionally hit in rear and the ran off the road
I was deliberatley followed, hit in the rear of my car and then pushed off the road onto the sidewalk by this driver, then the driver attempted to leave the scene until his car stalled up the road. When the police arrived they told me that it was an ordinarry everyday traffic accident and that there was nothing that they could do.
Does this sound like something that is legal?
What can I do about this?

You have two options in such a case. You may file a civil law suit in order to ensure your injuries are covered, the fact that he tried to run will play a role in this matter to show guilt...
You may contact the DA's office to attempt to push prosecution but you may not be particularly succesful as a result of the fact that there was no arrest at the scen of the crime, nor did the police see fit to continue any investigation... depending on the distance of the vehicle from the scene of the accident there may be cause for prosecutionm but generally a 'hit and run' requires the person actually fleeing the scene - regardless of the fact that the hit and run was nt accomplished to any great degree as a result of the car stalling, this in and of itself may preclude any prosecution.
Your best bet my be just to file a civil law suit to secure money for your injuries and damage.
