Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My iphone was stolen out of a bakery at Grand Central station by an employee of the establishment. She was caught on camera and since has gotten arrested. Can i sue the bakery for the cost of my iphone? Sprint will not replace it and i now have to pay full price.

This is actually more of a civil suit question than criminal. However, two things might be possible. The police will return your phone when the trial is finished and yes, that could be quite a while. You could talk with a civil attorney because the bakery does possibly share some liability in this situation. OR you could talk to the bakery and tell them that the easiest thing would be to pay for your phone. I hope this helps.
