Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
issue?
i was submitting a complaint to the district attorney over the phone and was asked if i am currently being sued? i said no. but i just found out today that i am being sued by capital one, however the credit card was reported as stolen over a year ago and i have a police report number. what should i do?
how does having a lawsuit against me affect me reporting a crime?

tell them.
shouldn't make a difference unless it relates to the crime or would discredit you as a witness
