judge's directed verdict

Can a judge overturn a jury's guilty verdict when he feels the evidence doesn't support it? Can de declare a defandant not guilty in the case of a hung jury when he feels there was insufficient evidence for a guilty verdict?

Generally yes, deoending on the jurisdiction there are slightly diffrent rules for this... generally the Defense attorney has to make a motion...
