Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

on july 4, I was visiting my family and they were doing a barbeque on the side walks, everything was fine until a police car arrived they was 3 female cops and 3 male cops very rude and they told us to finish the barbeque and 1 hr, or everybody is going to be arrest simple words!! we dont give f..... that was there expression to us and our kids!!!! we did but we were not the only one in that street they were people with barbeque in both side but they only picking us as a target!!!! finally they came back 15 minutes before the hour, we was putting water to the grill( small smoke joe grill) but they said that we did it,because we saw them..no that is not true!!!!! I got it a summons for open fire, my first violation in my life!!!!!!!!! I was crying and do not know what to do. what can I do now? is that going to stay in my record. sorry for my spelling!!!!! sad woman.

Sounds like you will get an ACD, meaning a delayed dismissal when you go to court, if you ask for it.
